The Power of Video Studies in Investigating Teaching and Learning

Video methodology has evolved into a powerful tool for classroom research and is widely used in large scale as well as smaller studies. In 2007 Prof. Tina Seidel (Germany) and Prof. Tomáลก Janík (Czech Republic) initiated a network consisting of researchers with a common interest in the video-based investigation of teaching and learning. Since 2007 the network has expanded continuously and led to annual workshops and one book publication.

This year's annual workshop will take place at the Leibniz-Institute for Science and Mathematics Education (IPN) in Kiel on November 17th and 18th, 2010. On November 19th, 2010 interested researchers and PhD students have the opportunity to take part in a training session on the use of video in the research of teaching and learning. Participants wishing to attend the network need to have registered for it in advance.
